This week we took in the wonderful view from Mariah Pt of the Royal Gorge, Snow Mountain and Devil’s Peak. There is no better view of the headwater area of the North Fork of the American River that begins up in the Donner Summit area. The wind blown slopes with spotty snow tell the story of why this overlook is called Mariah.
